Farouk Belkaïd (born November 14, 1977 in Bordj Menaïel) (Arabic: فاروق بلقايد‎) is an Algerian football player who is currently playing for ES Sétif in the Algerian league.[1]

Contents

Club career

In 1998, Belkaïd joined JS Kabylie from JS Bordj Ménaïel. During his time with the club, he won the CAF Cup three times in a row from 2000 to 2002 and also won the league title in 2004.

In 2003, Belkaïd went on trial with French club AJ Auxerre but was not signed by manager Guy Roux.[2]

International career

Belkaïd received his first call-up to the Algerian National Team on December 8, 2000 for a friendly against Romania in Annaba, Algeria.[3] He played the entire game, with the score ending 3-2 in favour of the visitors.
